After it had been postponed to this week from the original date which was last Sunday, October 2, Avon’s Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer finally pushed through.
Hundreds of registrants joined the country’s leading cosmetic brand in the Race to 125,000 Kisses as a campaign to fight breast cancer. Among the VIPs in this event is breast cancer survivor, Dra. Julie De Leon. She shared her life when she battled with the ailment and how she was able to survive.
Afterwards, an intermission number was rendered by the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa Ati-Atihan Band and Dancers.
To pump up the senses of the participants, Steps Lipa’s Sundee Viñas headed the warm up aerobics as preparation for the walk.
It was still drizzling at the moment the program hosts announce the beginning of the walk but as a ‘sacrifice’, the participants from various groups of the society proceeded with the fun walk and graciously kissed breast cancer goodbye.
