There are many heritage parks that trace the history of Batangas City. Long before establishments and amusement parks came to rise, Batangas City had been a hub of beautiful orchestras and stage actors coming from different parts of the country and the world. They would gladly perform on town fiestas where architectures of gazebos, stages and pavilions at that time were engineered to maximize the sound of the performer.
Among the popular parks of Batangas City are Laurel Park and Mabini Park.
The Mabini Park or more popularly known as the Plaza Mabini stands adjacent to the City Hall of Batangas. Upon entering, you will be greeted by a landmark where a double bust-size figure of Apolinario Mabini stands in the middle of the park. It was awarded as the best landscaped park in 1969 with the then dubbed as “modern and urban architecture.”
