Eighty (80) kms. away from Manila, Talisay can be reached through Manila-South Luzon Expressway (Sta. Rosa Exit) Tagaytay-Talisay route, passing through the well-paved (Ligaya Drive) Banga Tagaytay Road. This route a 15-minute drive, offers a scenic and panoramic view of Taal volcano Island and the lake.
It can also be reached through another route, using the STAR TOLLWAY (Via Sambat Exit) down to City of Tanauan. The 14.5 km. national road connecting Talisay and Tanauan are entirely well paved and in very good condition. Motorized bancas are used by those coming from the municipalities located at the other side of the lake. The most common modes of transportation in and within Talisay are tricycles and jeepneys. The City of Tanauan serves as drop-off point of buses coming from Metro Manila, BatangasCity and other municipalities.
