Ready, Get Set, Go!

I was supposed to do this article yesterday, since I’ve said last week that I’ll have special articles every Friday. But due to inevitable family responsibilities, late ang post. Haha.

Okay, so last week I’ve shared some childhood memories of the WOWBatangas Team and I was so delighted reading the post’s comments in our Facebook fan page. Thank you guys!

I’m watching ABS-CBN’s Showtime as I’m writing this post. What I like about the show, aside from of course the showcasing of Filipino talents, are the stories behind every contestant’s struggle just to perform in the show. Honestly, when Showtime replaced the defunct morning talk show Ruffa & Ai, I was quite disappointed and thought that this talent search program lacks entertaining factor to hook viewers and survive the ratings game. I even thought it wouldn’t last for months on air. But geez, it’s now the reason why I turn on our TV at this time of the day!

take a chance life's too short, article about taking chancesWell, I’m not going to blabber about how I adore the show. Let’s talk about taking chances. How often do you take chances? Or are you the type who’s scared of taking risks and let chances pass you by?

I salute people who are brave enough to grab an opportunity the first time it knocked on their doors. But then, I also bow to those who are brave enough to admit that they are scared. It takes a bit of nerves to tell the world of what scares you.

Our team took the chance of bringing WOWBatangas.com closer to people. We’ve been to different parts of the province, met a lot of people along the way, and still come home with smiles on our faces despite tired feet and rumbling stomach. (Well, minsan lang pala ‘yung rumbing stomach dahil isa yan sa hindi namin pinapayagang maranasan ng team – ang magutom. Haha).

We believe that as we hold on to our dreams, reality won’t be that far. Of course it won’t be possible without the people who believed in us and have supported us since day one.

This idea stucked in my mind that I’ve encountered while watching a TV show which title, ironically, I’ve forgotten. Our heart was placed in the middle of our brain and feet, bakit? Para kung hindi na alam ng utak mo kung anong gagawin, ang puso mo ang magdidikta sa mga paa mo kung saan ka nila dadalhin.

Ready to take the chance? Get set. Go!
