Destinations in Batangas for Sports and Outdoor Activities

You may not really consider Batangas as a haven for sports activities and outdoor adventures. But seriously, the province is so well-rounded you can enjoy any kind of trip here.

If you have friends who are not from Batangas, and you share the same passion for activities that can give you that adrenaline rush, these are the destinations you can bring them to – if they play any of these sports or they’re into these outdoor fun activities.

Calatagan Golf Club in Calatagan, Evercrest Golf Club Resort, Inc. in Nasugbu, and Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City are places frequented by businessmen out for a weekend golf with colleagues. If your family’s well-heeled and your parents are looking for weekend destinations, a membership to any of these golf and country clubs would be an awesome treat.

destinations in Batangas for sports and outdoor activitiesWhat else can be more thrilling than car racing? Practice your drifting moves at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Barrio Maligaya, Rosario. The 3.4 kilometer race track is has been witness to the country’s top racing events throughout the years.

The beaches of Batangas is not just meant for good old family outing. On the surface or underwater, beaches here can give you a few more reasons to stay under the sun.

You know that Anilao, Mabini is among the most popular diving spots in the whole archipelago. But apart from the dive spots in Anilao, you can check other sites in Batangas such as Ligpo Island in San Luis, Layag-Layag Reef and Verde Island in Batangas City, Sepok Point and Mapating Rock (Shark Cave) in Tingloy, Balayan Bay, and Fortune Island in Nasugbu.

This one’s a personal favorite, skimboarding. If the beaches of La Union, Baler in Aurora, and Siargao are destinations for surfing, the waters of Nasugbu and Lemery are fit for skimboarding.

Aside from skimboarding, you and your friends can go wakeboarding in Lago de Oro in Barrio Balibago, Calatagan, which is the first cable wakeboarding park in the Philippines. Board sports can be more fun in Batangas. 🙂

There’s still a few more sports and outdoor activities we would like to suggest. Watch out for the next installment.
