Everytime Gerlie and I would have a first meet-up with a client for our wedding services, we would initially ask if the couple wants something traditional and formal or contemporary and semi-formal (or the the other combination). There are couples kasi who don’t want to include old traditions as sabugan, eating of kalamay, the money dance, etc. Sabugan is a wedding custom popular in the province, like in some parts of Batangas, where the primary sponsors and other relatives close to the couple would give them money to start their life together with prosperity.
