You think you can be the country’s next diva? If you got the singing prowess, the look of a potential diva, and the right attitude to be a star, then join the SM City Lipa’s search for Batangas Diva! Here are the mechanics:

1. The competition is open to all aspiring female singers, 18-30 years old, residents of Batangas province and has no recording contract yet with any recording company.

2. To join, purchase 4 pcs. SM Supermalls Greenbag from August 25- Sept. 19 and fill up application form available at the Mall Marketing Department and at the Green Bag booth. Elimination rounds will be simultaneous in SM City Lipa and SM City Batangas on Sept. 5, 12 and 19 at 4pm.

3. Attach original and photocopy of birth certificate plus 2 valid IDs in the application form.

4. Contestants are free to choose which elimination round she’ll be joining.

5. Two winners per elimination will be chosen to compete for the Grand finals to be held at SM City Batangas on Sept. 26. Total of 6 finalists will proceed at the Grand Finals; (3 finalists from SM City Lipa and 3 finalists from SM City Batangas).

6. Winners per elimination will receive Php 500 worth of SM Gift Certificates.

7. All finalists must submit an 8R photo for the People’s Choice Award that will be chosen through voting. To vote, shoppers must purchase SM Supermalls Greenbag from Sept. 21-25 only. 1 Green Bag is equivalent to 1 vote. Shoppers may purchase Green Bags at SM City Lipa or at SM City Batangas only. Voting area will be available at the 2 participating SM branches.

8. Finalists will be judged based on the following criteria:
Voice Projection 40 %
Timing and Rhythm 20 %
Blending and Harmony 10 %
Green Bag Votes 20 %
Audience Impact 10 %
TOTAL 100 %

9. Prizes at stake :

Batangas Diva 2009 : Php 10,000 Cash + trophy
1st runner up : Php 5,000 Cash + trophy
2nd runner up : Php 3,000 Cash + trophy
People’s Choice Award : 1 unit Wow Magic Sing

10. Judges’ decisions are final and not subject to any appeal.

11. Employees of Shopping Center Management Corporation, affiliates and agencies and their families up to 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity shall be disqualified from joining the competition.
