FAITH holds Connecting with the business community seminar

Region IV-A NEDA Dir. Severino Santos and our very own Gov. Vilma Santos Recto served as guest speakers in the recently concluded seminar dubbed as “Connecting with the Business Community”, Jan. 28, 2011 at Lima Park Hotel, Malvar, Batangas. This event is part of the 10th year anniversary celebration of First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities.

The seminar focused on Calabarzon’s business development direction and the provincial government plans for Batangas business community. Dir. Santos said that their target for Calabarzon is to become a livable industry region and a destination of job-seeking people in the coming years.

Gov. Vilma on the other hand, challenged Batangueno businessmen. “Be my able allies in making Batanguenos gainfully employed. Help me make Batangas become more business and investors-friendly,” she said.

In the end the Governor added, “Let’s all work together as a team and as a family in building our province… I can’t do this alone.”

The seminar/forum was attended by roughly 180 Batangueno businessmen, foreign investors, faculty and students of different universities in the province.
