17 year-old Kathleen Gomez was hailed winner of the pompous Miss Lipa Tourism 2011 held last night, June 19, at the Lipa City Plaza Indepencia. This event was the highlight of the 64th Lipa City foundation week celebration.
As candidate no. 8 and representative of Brgy. Bulacnin, she outshone the other 11 contestants who competed in this year’s pageant.
Kathleen is currently a 2nd-year BS Tourism student of First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities.
Aside from the title of Miss Lipa Tourism, she also holds the title of this year’s Bb. Lipa-Foundation. She also gathered three special awards: Best in Gown, Miss Star Tourism, and Miss Photogenic.

Sabili, his wife and Over-all chairperson of Miss Lipa Tourism 2011-Ms. Bernadette Sabili, Over-all Chairperson of the Lipa City Foundation Anniversary – Councilor Avior Rocafort, The Lipa City Tourism and Museum Council Members, former Miss Lipa Tourism winners, Government officials, and the different sponsors of the pageant.
Miss Lipa Tourism 2011 was vigorously hosted by Former Lipa City Tourism and Museum Council President – Leo M. Ona and Miss Lipa Tourism 2010 1st Runner –up – Jilian Kristin A. Deveza.
As Miss Lipa Tourism 2011, Kathleen is entitled to certain privileges such as: being an honorary/associate member of the Lipa City Tourism and Museum Council, official representative for the Mutya ng Batangan 2011 and she would be the delegate of the city for the other prestigious national beauty competitions. Moreover, her most important role is to take pride in promoting the city’s wonderful attractions and cultural heritage.
