There’s no stopping the Batanguenos from celebrating the 428th founding anniversary of the province. Ten municipalities competed against each other to grab the first prize amounting to P150,000 for the street dance competition.
The participating towns are Lemery, Lobo, Taal, Padre Garcia, Rosario, Nasugbu, Bauan, Malvar, and the cities of Batangas and Lipa. This is such an exciting day for all the Batanguenos witnessing the Ala Eh! Festival as the dancers sway and groove to the beat of the drums, receiving applauses from the crowd.
Celebrity couple Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach, one of ’90s heartthrob Jao Mapa, and celebrity stylist James Cooper are just four of the jury who decided which municipality will win the Ala Eh! Festival street dance competition.
And at the end of this very jovial and festive event, three municipalities emerged victorious.
1st place – Sinukmani Festival – Rosario, Batangas (P150,000)
2nd Place – Anihan Festival – Lobo, Batangas (P125,000)
3rd Place – Kabakahan Festival – Padre Garcia, Batangas (P100,000)
