As part of the annual foundation celebration and town fiesta of Mataasnakahoy, Batangas, it has been a tradition to conduct different activities which showcase the resources of the town. This year, Coconut Festival-Street Dancing Competition was one of the highlights of the 78th Foundation Anniversary of the municipality with the theme: “Ikaw, Ako, Tayong Lahat, Sama-sama sa Layuning Pangkaunlaran”.
Ten elementary schools around town specifically La Purisima Conception Academy and the elementary schools of Bayorbor, Nangkaan, Lumang Lipa, Bubuyan, Kinalaglagan, Loob, Calingatan, and Mataas na Kahoy Central School competed for the coco street dance contest. Moreover, the uniqueness of each group in terms of costumes and choreography also made the contest more competitive. While each group performed their utmost presentations, the crowd also cheered as sign of support for their fellows.
