Oh well, 2011 is nearly over. Another New Year is fast approaching. And one thing that everybody couldn’t miss – New Year’s Eve celebration.
We Filipinos won’t let the last day of the year just pass without
celebrating for the New Year coming. There you have the fireworks, loud sounds, foods and many more!
What makes me more excited when a New Year is coming are the foods that will be served on our table. Vast amount of traditional food is prepared for my family and friends. And I end up thinking of those Pinoy foods usually serve for New Year’s Eve.
Here are the Pinoy staples for the Media Noche in the Philippines:
Pasta (Spaghetti, Carbonara, Lasagna, Baked Macaroni)
Soup (macaroni, mushroom, corn)
Fruits (12 or 13 different round fruits)
Salad (buko, fruit, macaroni)
Sticky Rice Cakes (suman, puto, bibingka, tikoy)
Roasted Chicken
Lechon
Ham
Cake
Pancit
