Batangas City grabbed most recognitions from the Bureau of Fire Protection’s 18th anniversary celebration held at the Quezon City Sports Club, Aug. 11.
BFP awarded nine plaques of recognition to Batangas City for 2008 including its citation of Mayor Eduardo B. Dimacuha and ABC President Vilma Abaya Dimauha’s unending support for BFP Batangas City for the latter’s fast and effective service.
Mayor Dimacuha received the national headquarter’s recognition for providing BFP Batangas City of the necessary equipment such as fire hose and fire axe; maintenance of fire trucks and other important needs of the local unit.
BFP also distinguished Mrs. Dimacuha for heading the Emergency Assistance Seminar that benefited the staff of the local unit and its volunteers. Mrs. Dimacuha, together with BFP Batangas City and other local government agencies, was also part of the OPLAN SUMVAC and OPLAN Kaluluwa in implementing the campaign for peaceful observance of the Holy Week and the All Soul’s Day.
Furthermore, Dimacuha provided financial support for leaflets and other information dissemination materials for the local BFP’s fire prevention drive.
