Holy Week Activities of Batangueños

This Holy Week, categorically speaking, Batangueños will be: (1) prayerful, will perform obligations as Catholics; (2) vacationers, will take a much-deserved relaxation with either family or friends; (3) dutiful employees, much as they don’t like to, others will still be at work.

Where will you be at and what are you planning to do this Holy Week?

A lot of Batangueños still stick to observing Holy Week traditions like doing Visita Iglesia, going on retreats, joining religious processions, and performing what for them is their “panata” such as climbing Mt. Maculot.

But there are those who take this chance to be with their families as the four days off (for most employees) is the best time to go someplace else.

And then there are those whose work schedule isn’t really align with the rest.

We asked our Facebook page likers what are their plans this Holy Week. Here are some of the responses we’ve got:

Vincent Erieso: “LAIYA :)”

Marilyn Sevilla Miravalles: “As usual, swimming swimming..”

After ng holy week at saka magswimming or mamasyal.”

Whatever your plans are, make some time to reflect on what these days off from work are meant for. Remember Him and what He has done for the rest of us.

Have a safe and meaningful Holy Week, everyone!
