Although it’s still quite cold in some parts of the province, we take that as an advantage for you will have another reason to spend summer here in Batangas. Instead of going to Baguio or Tagaytay for a cooler weather, be here instead.
Whether you are a Batangueño or not, you can have these tips on how to spend summer vacation here in Batangas. Hopefully, we could help you have that worthwhile summer break!
Go to the beach (or swimming pool resorts).
Oh, how would you ever miss doing this? It’s summer and it’s the obvious time of the year when you are to enjoy basking under the sun and all those water activities. Head to the shores of San Juan, Calatagan, Nasugbu, Lobo, Lian, or Lemery – love the sun, the sand, the sea.
Looking for a destination? We can name some of the best resorts in Batangas.
Eat lomi.
There are numerous lomi houses around the province especially in Lipa City. Your Batangas summer vacation would not be complete without trying a local favorite, of course, loming Batangas. Try 3 Kids Lomi House along B. Morada St. in Lipa City; there’s also Lomi King along Mataas na Lupa (near De La Salle Lipa) and the lomi house in Pangao which is among the much favored lomi houses in the province.
Sip a cup of kapeng barako.
Yes, summer is a hot season but kapeng barako can be sipped cold. If you can’t drink plain kapeng barako, try the blended ones. Over at Cafe de Lipa, they have kapeng barako drinks which you can delight yourself with. Whenever my friends and I would seek for a quiet afternoon chitchat, we visit Cafe de Lipa and relish the bittersweet goodness of their coffee drinks.
Go on a personal retreat.
Have you been so busy lately that you think you need some time alone away from stressful situations and obligations? Reflect for a day. This does not always mean you need a spiritual retreat. It could be for physical wellness and relaxation, for mental uncluttering, or just for a quiet time all by yourself.
For spiritual retrat, you can visit the Capuchin Retreat House in Lipa City. There’s also that area where the Monte Maria Shrine was supposed to be built – in Brgy. Pagkilatan, Batangas City. That place is naturally beautiful. You can marvel at the scenic view from the top of the hill. Humble yet mazing experience.
For your physical wellness, there’s The Farm in San Benito (pricey though). Or try Villa Crisanta Garden Resort in Rosario, that’s another destination where you can enjoy spa services and privacy.
I just want to thank wowbatangas for all you efforts in digging up for us the treasures of Batangas. It is indeed so amazing how the internet could have not been profitable without you guys! Not to mention the talents each of you had shared to all of your readers but that burning desire to disseminate big and small infos that most of the internet surfers had just somewhat been taken for granted by many for not digesting what is being shared in the wowbatangas blog, let alone read between the lines. For those Batanguenos or even Non-Batangenos and Non-Filipinos, I have a very small request to you guys: Your applause to the not so small efforts and hard work of wowbatangas will be greatly appreciated if only you could drop them a note by leaving a reply to their blogs! MABUHAY AND WOWBATANGAS!
