Facebook. Facebook. Facebook. After Zuckerberg tied the knot with Ms. Chan, more and more updates from the social network has been surfacing.
Facebook and it’s many surprises
When I opened our Facebook page, I saw this prompt “You are posting, commenting, and liking as WOWBatangas.com — Change to Dyan Hernandez” on the upper part of the interface, pointing to a new Facebook feature called “Voice”.
This Voice button basically gives you the option on who will ‘voice out’ posts and comments on your page: you as you on Facebook or your other self as a page administrator.
Do you own a page? What can you comment on this new Facebook feature? From a user who owns one, too many pages, this is a good addition. Why? Any update that you do with your page, by posting/commenting as your profile (not as page admin) will appear on the ticker and newsfeed of your friends, and on your activity log.
This will give your page extra visibility on your part as seen by your friends. Implicit promotion thing, you know, not massive though.
OR SO I THOUGHT. I asked Gerlie and Jackie if they can see my recent activity by applying the Voice option. Eh wala naman sila makita. Hindi ko pa alam ang silbi nito sa ngayon. Haha. Anyways, at least sa page mo tinanong ka kung anong gusto mo. Eh dito sa sunod na topic, surprise!

If you haven’t noticed this yet, visit your About and see your displayed email address. Oo. May Facebook email ka and you weren’t even asked if you want one. Well, taadaaa! Facebook and it’s many surprises.
It’s been there for I don’t know how long kasi one friend of mine asked me to send a file to her Facebook email address. Huh? Hindi na ko nag-usyoso, that was in February pa yata. Online outrage become huge just the other day.
What’s the purpose of the Facebook email? All emails sent to this address will land to your Facebook inbox. As simple as that. This is done by Facebook so you don’t have to log out and log in to either Yahoo! mail or Gmail. Sounds like a possessive beau?
Will there be more and more spam with this Facebook email address? I don’t know. Can you change into your old email address? YES. It’s still there. Facebook just hid it.
How to go back to your old email address? Go to your About page, then to your Contact Info. You can see your original email address still there, you just choose which one will you show on your timeline.
Wondering what’s next on Facebook? We are too.
