Christ is King. His kingship is not geographical nor political nor military rule, for it is not confined to any material boundaries. It is not about territorial jurisdiction nor area of responsibility. It is about human hearts. Christ’s kingship is not of this world but it is about your heart. The question really is not how far and wide his territory is. The question is about how much do you allow Him to rule your heart. How much space do you give Him in your life?
Christ is therefore your King if, and only if, you allow Him to exercise His power over your life. It is so easy to picture Him seated on a throne enrobed, holding a scepter and crowned with gold. But it is quite difficult for us to let our hearts be His throne. Will you allow Him to take charge of all your desires and dreams? Will you allow Him to sit in front of the steering wheel of your destiny? And insted of you at the center of your little universe, will you step down and give Him the position? Can you do it right here right now?
If your answer is yes, then He is your King. His kingdom is your heart. But you have to let Him rule. Let Him take command and change your attitutude, your habits, your ways of doing things and your ways of thinking. Allow Him to be your King.
