Travel Light

Yan ang pinakasimpleng prisipyo sa anumang biyahe. Travel light. Di mo kailangang dalhin ang iyong buong kusina o aparador pag meron kang biyahe. You must be unencumbered by baggage. Napakapraktikal na payo. Commonsensical pa. Pero what is common sense is not common practice. Kaya, take my advise.

So tama talaga ang prinsipyo: travel light.

Kaya naman tama ang tagubilin ng Panginoon: “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals…”(Luke 10:4). In a way the Lord is telling us to walk through life without being burdened by extra baggage. Ask yourself now: what’s weighing on my mind? What keeps me from traveling much easier and faster in this journey of my life? What are the unnecessary things I keep carrying in my heart that I need to unload now? Are you weighed down by so much worries, anger, disappointments, hatred, attachments to material possessions, lavish lifestyle, arrogance, hypocrisy, envy, fears, guilt, bitterness, etc?

Come to Jesus and leave it all at his feet. Leave it all to God. Let go and let God. Experience what it feels to be free to follow Him. Experience the joy of being unencumbered by baggage. Move ahead faster and find joy in life. That’s what Jesus wants you to be – fully alive!
