“Farmgate price of yellow corn grain remains stable while that of white corn grain declines this week This week’s average farmgate price of yellow corn grain remained at PhP 12.82/kg. However, relative to its price level of PhP 13.98/kg in the same period of the previous year, it dropped further at an annual rate of 8.3 percent. Meanwhile, the average farmgate price of white corn grain decreased to PhP 14.05/kg or by 0.4 percent during the week, from its previous week’s level of PhP 14.11/kg. Similarly, it declined further at an annual rate of 12.7 percent from its level of PhP 16.09/kg during the same period of the previous year “
“Prices at both wholesale and retail trades of yellow corn grain continue to move upward this week The average wholesale price of yellow corn grain climbed to PhP 21.12/kg or by 0.2 percent during the week, from its previous week’s level of PhP 21.07/kg. Similarly, it accelerated at an annual rate of 15.7 percent relative to its average price of PhP 18.26/kg in the same week of the previous year.
The wholesale price of white corn grain drops while its retail price picks up during the week The average wholesale price of white corn grain this week dipped to PhP 17.00/kg or by 0.8 percent this week, from its level of PhP 17.13/kg in the previous week. Likewise, it went down further at an annual rate of 7.3 percent, from its level of PhP 18.33/kg during the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, the average retail price of white corn grain rose to PhP 28.20/kg or by 0.4 percent during the period, compared with its previous week’s level of Php 28.10/kg. Meanwhile, from its price level of PhP 27.15/kg in the same period of the previous year, its annual rate increased by 3.9 percent.
