Georgia Reyes, one of Lipa City’s most coveted makeup artists, has just been awarded as the Over-All Champion in the 21st Hair Asia National Open Championship for Hairstyling and Makeup Competition.
Georgia, who we dubbed as every woman’s fairy godmother, competed in the country’s “most credible” hair and makeup competition yesterday, March 28 at the World Trade Center in Manila. The competition was divided into four categories: Ladies’ Cut and Color, Men’s Cut and Color, Commercial Makeup, and Bridal Makeup.
Cosmetologists from different parts of the country participated in the said competition. Because of his God-given skills, Georgia emerged as the Most Outstanding in Commercial Makeup, Champion in Bridal Makeup category, and the highest recognition — the Over-All Champion of the 21st Hair Asia National Open Championship.
If a competitor wins the top award in at least one category, he/she will win the much aspired opportunity to go to Vidal Sassoon Academy in Shanghai, China. Georgia got two top spots and has the chance to attend a seminar in the Hairworld Olympics.
His hands had done beautiful makeups and hairstyles on countless clients since he started focusing in this career. What’s even more admirable of this makeup artist is how he remains grounded despite the achievements now credited to his name. Georgia keeps giving back the glory to God and with that, it’s not surprising how blessings are rushing to him.
Apart from Georgia’s Hair Asia 2011 awards, he had won 2nd Place in red Carpet Makeup and Top 10 awardee in Bridal Makeup last February in Cosmetologie 2011.
