Elections 2013 is nearing and in its move to run after campaign violators, COMELEC released a video featuring ‘Boy Bawal’, the poster boy who enumerates the DON’Ts for the campaign period.
The two-minute video reminds election candidates of the campaign guidelines they should be following. Those who will refuse to adhere will be reprimanded. Violators will be given three days grace period to put down whatever the rules says is inappropriate.
This is also one way of calling out for the public’s help in pointing out campaign violators in their locality. At the end of the video, COMELEC chairman says: “Umpisa na ang kampanya, kapag may nakita kayong mga bawal, pakisumbong niyo sa amin dito sa Comelec.”
