What will you do this long weekend?
Saturday, Sunday, Monday (commemoration of the National Heroes Day), and Tuesday (the final day of the Ramadan) — four days off for those who have ‘normal’ working days. Talking ’bout the 8-5 office hours.
As far as I can recall, I came up with an article of quite the same topic but hey, every single day is different from another day that has ended, right?
Moving on. Usually, when we have a long weekend, families or barkadas would plan out-of-town trips. It’s either you opt for a day or two on the beach or head to EK. Yes, my friends have been bragging about an Enchanted Kingdom trip.
I’m sure the malls would be crowded with actual shoppers and mall strollers alike. Oh, want to watch a movie this weekend? Here are the movies showing this week.
We all look forward to such long weekends so we can spend (quality) time with our loved ones, have enough rest, and removed all the stress we have accumulated from work loads.
August 29 is National Heroes Day. How do we remember the brave Filipinos who gave up their own lives for the good of the country and its people?
Government officials will have a flag-raising ceremony and a short program afterwards to relive the greatness of those we call heroes.
TV stations will have documentaries and special newscast for the special holiday.
Bloggers will, blog. How about you?
The end of Ramadan is one of the most celebrated days in the Muslim calendar. What we can just probably hope is this one huge thing that matter to everyone — world peace. You know what we mean here. It’s all over the news.
