We’re welcoming you back to reality! #WorkModeOnAgain
In case you are still on vacation mode and you’ve been away for the past five days, let us update you with topics people are buzzing about over the weekend and probably in the next coming days.
NoKor: Rocket is not a ballistic missile
North Korea tries to convince its critics that what they will be launching on April 12 to 16 is not a ballistic missile but a “peaceful scientific research”.
The Department of National Defense do not intend to cause alarm in the country so what they have stated regarding the rocket’s path is merely to inform the public. Not to scare.
So parang sa construction site lang, beware of falling debris?
#SaveBaguioPineTrees
Due to planned expansion, SM Baguio will have to cut down trees on the Luneta Hill. #SaveBaguioPineTrees, SM Baguio and Henry Sy are now trending on Twitter (as of 2:39PM, 4.10.12) due to heavy traffic of tweets against this move. People rushed to the mall not to shop, but to protest.
Although the event takes place in the north, it is still a major concern for the public, don’t you think?
Facebook Acquires Instagram for $1-B
If Android babies are delighted when Instagram became available for the them, Mark Zuckerberg’s happiness is way beyond that as Facebook buys the previously-iPhone-users-exclusive photo sharing app for $1 billion.
Haha. A lot of iPhone users expressed “classist” remarks when they began seeing Android users on Instagram claiming the exclusivity of the app was stolen from them. Oh yes! And now that Facebook owns it, just think of what might happen next.
Noli de Castro: “Di naman maganda ang beach”
Right after Kabayan Noli uttered this, referring to beaches here in Batangas, I immediately updated my Facebook status and tweeted about his comment. It happen last night in the commentary portion of TV Patrol.
Noli and Korina Sanchez were talking about the heavy traffic both from NLEX and SLEX. Korina pointed out that the traffic from SLEX was due to holiday vacationers coming from Batangas. Then Kabayan Noli reacted: “Galing sa Batangas? Di naman maganda ang beach.”
Oops, teka lang. Type. Post. Tweet. Then after a minute and more, friends commented on my status and tweeted back. Say ni Korina: “Lagot ka kay Governor Vi!”.
Hahaha.
And the Philippine population as of the latest census is…
92.34 million! The National Statistics Office released the results of the 2010 census and yes, ganun na kadami ang mga Pilipino.
Holy Week is over. Now take some time to get connected to the world, again. 😉 Have a safe week ahead!
