Here’s how to join:
PHOTO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- the subject of your photo must be any PLACE, PRODUCT, or PERSON/s that best represents your town/city
- taken using either a 1) Digicam (Point-and-Shoot Camera) or 2) Digital SLR
- must be unedited and sent to us straight from the camera in .JPG format
- must be in landscape format and not less than 1800 X 1200 pixels
- the photo and the subject must be in the town/city where the photographer currently resides or is originally from (birthplace)
- only one entry per photographer. No proxies allowed.
CONTEST RULES
A. Who can join? The contest is open to all beginner, amateur and professional photographers. The participant should be a bonafide Batangueño who resides in Batangas and is an active WOWBatangas.com FB Page Liker. There is no age limit.
B. How to join? Interested photographers may submit one (1) photo entry to contest@wowbatangas.com on or before May 15, 2011. In the subject field, write the town/city that you are representing and then your name (i.e. Padre Garcia – Reinier Ilagan) In the message of your email include photographer’s name, complete home address, landline no., cellphone no., a creative 1-sentence description of your photo in Filipino/English and some other details (location, date, etc.).
Example:
SUBJECT : Padre Garcia – Reinier Ilagan
Photographer’s Name : Reinier O. Ilagan
Home Address : 034, Rizal St, Poblacion, Padre Garcia, Batangas
Cellphone No. : 0922-8788063
Description : (creative 1-sentence description here)
Other Details : taken at Poblacion, Padre Garcia, on April 25, 2011 with a Canon Ixus 100 (Auto Mode)
ELIMINATION ROUND
All the submitted entries will be posted on WOWBatangas Directory and Events FB page for two weeks, May 16-31, 2011. Photos may be posted and voted on earlier than May 16 after we receive them on our e-mail. The three photos (per town) with the most number of likes on May 31, 12mn will be considered for the next round.
FINAL ROUND
Only three (3) photographers per town will proceed to the Final Round. (34 towns X 3 photographers). The chosen photographers will be given a week (June 1-7, 2011) to take another photo of a place, product, or person from their town/city. A theme may be required by WOWBatangas.com. Contestants must submit the photo on or before June 8.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
All the entries will be posted on WOWBatangas.com FB page for one month. June 9 – July 9, 2011. The following are the criteria for judging:
- FB LIKES – 40%
- COMPOSITION – 30%
- TECHNICAL QUALITY – 20%
- OVERALL IMPRESSION – 10%
Note: More specific mechanics will follow and relayed to finalists.
PRIZES
Grand Prize: one (1) brand-new DSLR Camera

Winners will be announced on July 11, 2011 on WOWBatangas.com.

may registration fee ba saka pwede ba ang image na nasa external na medyo matagal nang shot? saka pano malalaman kung ilan na ang nakapag entry sa isang bayan, tulad ng halimbawa na, ilan na ang nakapag entry ng calaca?

dapat po ay 10% lang ang fb likes, para po malaman ang kakayanan ng bawat photographers na makikilahok sa inyong patimpalak… para pantay pantay ang bawat kalahok… patagisan lang po sila ng kanilang mga galing, at hindi padamihan ng maglilike na kakilala…
