Mallgoers had a fun and fabulous time in SM City Lipa’s Masquerade Pride Parade 2009. Fourteen candidates vied for the title Queen of the Mask.
The candidates paraded on the mall area at around 4pm. The contest started an hour later as the candidates presented themselves by batch on the stage. The SM Lipa Event Center was once again filled with warm cheers from the crowd and dazzling hues from the candidates’ gowns and masks.

After two hours of standing on heels and smiling on the audience, the winners were finally announced. Ma. Stephenie Anne Hitomi won 2nd Runner-Up, Franky ended as 1st Runner-Up and Darling of the Crowd, and the title Queen of the Mask ’09 went to Aya Garcia, the Joyce Jimenez look-alike.
