Villa Khristalene Resort in Talisay: Relaxing Destination Away from Home

Talisay is another perfect destination if all you’re after for is the majestic view of the vast Taal Lake and the mountain across, Mt. Binintian (the cone-like land formation that you see from Talisay is not ‘the’ Taal Volcano).

We were invited by the Talisay Tourism Office, headed by Ms. Len Barba, to cover some of the events that occurred two days before the town fiesta, Feb. 10. Because it’s the team’s first visit to Talisay (except for Alva who had been there for painting commitment and trekking), we got enthused with the fact of discovering something new.

Fortunately, a resort expressed willingness to accommodate us. Villa Khristalene, one of the few resorts along the lakeshore line of Talisay, is characterized by an underrated beauty and a homey vibe enough to make you extend for another day or two.

Khristalene and the Other Names Behind the Villa

Villa Khristalene is a property owned by a Kapampangan, Ding Pangilinan. Named after his late daughter, Khristalene, the resort is merely like a residential compound but because of the attraction screaming across the vast body of water, it then became one of the most frequented resorts for local and foreign tourists in Talisay.

According to the resort manager, Ms. Quinnie Gementiza, the owner is very “humble and napaka-bait”. He wants the resort employees to treat Villa Khristalene as their own home.

The resort’s operations manager, Mr. Jun Rivera, shared that Sir Ding himself plotted the design of the resort and personally managed the over-all architecture of Villa Khristalene.

Resort Facilities and Features

The resort has a total of 24 rooms categorized as suite, bi-level economy, single/family economy, and single/family deluxe. Villa Khristalene Suite, the one with the highest rate is available at P8,600, with a capacity of 6 persons. All the single economy rooms enough to accommodate at least 2 persons are priced at P2,500. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and furnished with television, toilet and bathroom.

Villa Kristalene is open for various functions such as wedding receptions, company outings, business meetings, corporate seminars, and parties. Guests may make use of the Gazebo, the Viewdeck, the Small Pavilion, and the tables and huts for day tour.

Aside from plainly marveling at the exquisiteness of the Taal Lake, guests can also enjoy the swimming pool or indulge themselves with other activities like playing billiards, singing on the videoke, or fishing for tilapias from the cage and ask the cook to have it prepared for your lunch or dinner. Those who would like to reach Taal Volcano, you can ask the management to take you on a boat ride across the lake. Sounds exciting huh?

Why Choose Villa Khristalene?

Foreigners start to rush to various resorts in Talisay from February to June, which the management also considers as peak season. October is also considered a busy month for Villa Khristalene with companies and organizations setting their seminars, team-building activities, and outings during this time of the year.

According to Sir Jun, Villa Khristalene is like a “one-stop-shop” resort where everything you need for your stay is all here. They believe this is one of their advantages among their neighboring competitors.

Waiting for a Comeback

Sir Jun and Ms. Quinnie asked us to stay for another day, but we can’t. So we promised to come back some other time. It was such a nice stay we had there. We enjoyed the food, the view, the accommodation, the management’s hospitality, the massage chairs, and the billiard game we had!

Villa Khristalene, see you again!
