It was on October 31, 2009 when the Kumintang Bridge collapsed, taking the lives of a father and his son who crossed the bridge over the Calumpang River.
That tragic incident might have continue to haunt the only survivor of the accident – the mother of the family. As promises of urgent reconstruction of the bridge were made the day after the tragedy, the citizens of Batangas City whose lives were affected when the Bridge of Promise fell could do nothing but wait.
This following article from PIO includes update of the reconstruction of the Kumintang Bridge.
PRESS RELEASE
(Dimpy Lontoc-Matienzo, PIO Batangas City)
Are the promises yet to be fulfilled since the people have been told that the reconstruction would take about three months?
