July 23, 2012 is an eventful day for us as we commemorate two important events in the Batangueño calendar — Mabini Day and Batangas City Foundation Day.
Today in 1864, Apolinario Mabini was born in Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas. Mabini, a.k.a. the “Sublime Paralytic” served as Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo’s adviser and was considered the Brain of the Revolution. More about Apoilinario Mabini here.
Whoohoo! Walang pasok! 😀
Also, it’s the 43rd Foundation Day of Batangas City and today, the provincial capital is also celebrating their 25th Sublian Festival.
And oh, sa mga tweens dyan na gustong makita si Daniel Padilla, may mall show sya mamayang hapon sa SM City Batangas, 4PM! Humanda sa ultimate na kiligan. ♥
SONA ni P-Noy
President Noynoy Aquino’s State of the Nation Address slated this afternoon will be the 73rd since the 1936 Commonwealth and the 26th since 1987 upon the restoration democracy.
According to Malacañang, the President will deliver his 3rd SONA in Filipino, just like the previous two. What will be content of the SONA, we’ll never know until later.
May mga “Who are you wearing?” na tanong din dyan on the side and how she became the Star for All Seasons.
I personally would like to hear more of employment opportunities and education programs and not any of the shenanigans of the leftist. His love life? Leave that to Kris Aquino, we’ll learn more from her than from the President himself.
Gov. Vi’s Golden Showbiz Anniversary
This year is an important year to our beloved governor. The entire world knows that before she became a public servant, Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto is among the shiniest stars of the Philippine entertainment industry. If you’ve watched ASAP 2012 yesterday, you’d appreciate more of her celebrity side.
One point well made, Krissy.
Gov. Vi’s movie with Kim Chiu, The Healing, will be shown in theaters on July 25th. Click here for The Healing movie trailer.
Happy foundation anniversary, Batangas City! 🙂
