And the sticky rice cake becomes a star even for one day!
The Sinukmani Festival of Rosario, Batangas is on its sixth year and the organizers as well as the local folks of Rosario considered this year’s celebration as the most successful to date.
Around 203 entries composed the 520 meter-long line of sinukmani. According to the locals, there were more participants this year compared to the past years since the festival started.
We were there to witness the event and were treated with hundreds of creative sinukmani presentations from participants from different parts of Rosario. Participants of the festivals were from various barangays, schools, business establishments, organizations, and local groups.
Another interesting part of the event was how the government of Rosario welcomed the Vietnamese and Korean delegation, particularly the mayor of Yeonggwang-Gun, South Korea – Rosario’s new sister town, Mayor Jeong Gi Ho.
Mayor Felipe “Mamay Ipe” Marquez amicably welcomed all the event participants and guests of the Sinukmani Festival and the 323rd Founding Anniversary of Rosario.
