SM, together with Business Mirror and Mathematics Trainers Guild Philippines (MTG), will pick the country’s participant in the World Sudoku Championship. Sudoku had been, and still is a fad, in the country and all over the world. It’s interesting how one could do something fun and worthwhile, solving such puzzle that hones one’s logical and numerical skills.
Where did Sudoku begin? “Su” is Japanese for number and “Doku” refers to the single place on the puzzle board that each number could fit into. It also means someone who is single, thus we could also describe the game as “solitaire with numbers”. Most people think that Sudoku began in Japan but its origin is actually from Europe and America.
The 4th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge Elimination Round will be held at the Event Center of SM City Batangas on October 17, 2009, 8:00am-5:00pm.
