“Remember, man, that thou art dust, and unto dust thou shalt return.”

Today is Ash Wednesday. And this marks the beginning of the lenten season. This event reminds us of the 40-day liturgical period of prayer and fasting. Also, an event that reminds us of our sinfulness.

At dahil nga tayo ay makasalanan, we need to repent, ask God’s forgiveness, and recognize God’s greatness and love for us — that He gave His only son to redeem us from our sins.

We should also be one with the Lord in offering little sacrifices for the redemption of mankind.

Ash Wednesday | BatangasIt’s up to us kung ano ang kaya nating isakripisyo. We could let go of our vices, bad habits, panonood ng TV, too much online gaming, facebooking etc. In the end we shall see na may pupuntahan ang mga sacrifices nating ito, gaano man kaliit, kabigat o kalaki.

If we are working hard to earn a living, ganun din ang pag-punta sa langit, kailangan ding paghirapan yan, kapatid.

Let’s all have a meaningful and prayerful Lenten season!
