SM SUPERMALLS joined the whole nation in commemorating the 112th anniversary of Philippine independence last June 12 with a simultaneous flag raising ceremony at precisely 8:30 am in all its 37 SM malls.

At SM City Batangas, Mall employees, as well as those of tenants and affiliates (SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, SM Cinema, SM Foodcourt, SM Storyland, Surplus Shop, SM Appliance Center, Sports Central, Our Home, Toy Kingdom, Watsons and Ace Hardware ) and representatives from local government assembled at the front covered walk of the mall to sing the Philippine national anthem and to honor the national flag.

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Batangas Chapter led the flag raising ceremony with the parade of color and the event concluded with the waving of Philippine flag to give honor to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our nations freedom 112 years ago.
