With the objective of showcasing locally and internationally competent fencers and promoting tourism in Lipa, McKinley Hill International School and Leadership Academy for Children, in collaboration with the Touché Masters Pilipinas (the only fencing organizer in the country) and Philippine Fencing Association (the national governing body of fencing in the country), hosted this year’s Fencing Championships held at the Malarayat Golf & Country Club last April 30, 2011.
Mckinley Hill -Lipa is one of the pioneer schools in Southern Luzon that has incorporated fencing into its curriculum program. Modern fencing belongs to the family of combat sports using bladed weapons.
The schools and organizations that participated in the competition were: Ateneo de Manila University, Xavier School, FEU, De La Salle University – Manila, College of St. Benilde, University of the Philippines, QC-Sep Fencing Club, Multiple Intelligence School, and Poveda.

Mckinley Hill- Lipa has chosen fencing as part of its holistic approach to the development of its students. It is a sport that does not only require physical endurance but it enhances cerebral activities such as focus, concentration, and mental alertness as well.
