September might be one of the boringest months of the year.
Relatively, the 9th month of the year caters to lesser paid, non working holidays and lesser paid non working holidays would bring to us, lazy blokes, a feeling of discontentment.
We often tell ourselves Uy!SeptemBER na! Malapit na magpasko! or malapit na mag Oktoberfest!
Noticeably, the excitement is never on the month of September. We just kind of see September as a preparation for better months to come.
But, I believe there is something interesting about this month. There is hope, I kid myself.
Hey! After the reaserch that I have made, September might not be that boring after all.
So here are the things you may not know about this month:
In Latin, septem means “seven” and septimus means “seventh”; September was in fact the seventh month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC, when the first month changed from Kalendas Martius (1 March) to Kalendas Januarius (1 January). It is also the seventh month of the Astrological calendar, which begins with March/Mars/Aries.–wikipedia.org
Why is September the 9th month of the year?
It’s one of the things “the Romans did for us” – slotting in two months – July named after Julius Caesar and August named after Augustus Caesar. This nudged the later months along by two and so September became the ninth instead of the seventh month–http://www.guardian.co.uk
• September begins on the same day of the week as December every year.
• September’s flower is the aster or morning glory.
• Sapphire is considered September’s birthstone
