Batangas Schools Go Hi-Tech Through e-learning Program Genyo

Genyo
Have you heard of the e-learning program called Genyo? The electronic learning system seemed to be a huge help for our students as they engage themselves in interactive learning online.

An evidence of Genyo’s effectiveness is the recognition gained by two 2nd year high school students in the Metrobank Mathematics Teacher Association of the Philippines Division Challenge. Dexter Dango and Glorybee Delos Santos from Calatagan National High School ranked 7th place in the said competition.

So what is Genyo? Genyo e-learning is “the first and only fully integrated online learning management system for Basic Education in the Philippines”. It has partner schools around the country made possible through the affiliation between its prime mover Diwa Learning Systems, Bato Balani Foundation, and the Enrique Zobel Foundation.

Genyo is “a virtual classroom where superior teaching and learning experience is achieved”. It provides students with the learning anchored on the curriculum required by the Department of Education and the integration of multimedia that suits the learning styles of the students in this generation.

Genyo has an interactive curriculum equipped with video and audio lips, exercises and quizzes, charts and animations, colourful graphics, and more, all made for the advancement of the students’ learning. These can all be enjoyed by the students as they learn English, Math, Science, History, Filipino, and other subjects in their curriculum.

Calatagan National High School and Lucsuhin National High School are two of the schools in Batangas which are fortunate to have the opportunity to integrate ICT in their education system.
