Calamba City Science Integrated School’s Smart Gas Leak Detection and Instant Alert System (SENTOGAS) won first place in Murata’s 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐄𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝟐.𝟎 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
SENTOGAS is an innovative solution that detects hazardous gas leaks in real-time and provides immediate alerts to prevent potential disasters. The proponents of the project were awarded trophies, medals and 50,000 pesos.
On the other hand, Lipa City Science Integrated National High School with (Aero Safe) and Batangas City Integrated National High School (Project Sagip) copped second and third place, garnering 35,000 pesos and 25,000 pesos, respectively.
The competition featured 6 innovative projects from Science High Schools around the region. The participating schools were: Calamba City Integrated Science High School, Lipa City Science Integrated High School,Batangas City Integrated High School, San Pablo City Science Integrated High School, De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, Santa Rosa Science and Technology High School, and San Pablo City Science Integrated High School.
In an interview with WowBatangas.com, Ms. Janet Inocensio of Philippine Manufacturing of Co. of Murata Inc. , noted that the organization highly supports the young generation to inculcate in their minds the importance of robotics.
