After a two-year lull, the Aboitiz Football Cup (AFC) comes back strong with its 22nd season to be held at the Aboitiz Pitch in LIMA—the largest artificial, multi-sports turf in Luzon.
AFC, albeit already successful in gathering pro athletes and football enthusiasts alike, still engages with the grassroots. They have been instrumental in doling out multi-day tutorials and presenting opportunities for young footballers; AFC has played a vital part in character and value formation amongst the youth as they take in sportsmanship and camaraderie all throughout the training and the games.
In a recent Aboitiz press release, their latest AFC installment, which will run from November 12 to December 10, will feature 14 categories from mixed 7-under, mixed 9-under, mixed 11-under, mixed 13-under, boys 15-under, boys 17-under, boys 19-under, boys 23-under, mixed open, men’s open, women’s open, veterans 30-39, veterans 40-49 and veterans 50 and above.
It will be LIMA’s third time to host the Aboitiz Football Cup.
