25 years and counting of providing innovative quality healthcare and wellness services of international standards to the region, Lipa Medix Medical Center continues to go bigger and bigger as the years go by.
For an organization this big, a team-building activity is essential to build camaraderie and teamwork among its employees. A two-day team-building is held at La Leona Resort, Brgy. Sampaguita Lipa City boosts the employee’s morale and lets them meet new colleagues. This will further develop a good working relationship in the institution.
The day started with Flag Making contest using provided materials from the organizer. Each team design represents the Lipa Medix Medical Center’s 25th Year and how they see Lipa Medix as an Institution.
“Hindi kami pinapabayaan ng Lipa Medix. Yung mga Benefits ay fair naman sa amin at may mga ganitong team-building activities para magkasama-sama kaming iba-ibang departments.
Healthcare is a team effort. Each different member has a special role. Kahit iba-iba kaming department ay iisa lang ang tungkulin namin sa mga pasyente at yun ay ang pagalingin sila.”

“One of my most memorable moment here is yung transition ko from being a staff nurse to a head nurse. Isa sa mga greatest experience ko ay yung self and career growth and development.
I believe that this team-building is for workforce engagement. Mahalaga ang manpower and resources kasi kabilang kami sa foundation ng institution. Through the people naggo-grow and nade-develop ang isang institution.
Isa sa mga function namin ay pagiging collaborator o pagiging open to working with different kinds of people working in the different departments. Mahalaga yung team-building kasi nakikilala namin yung isa’t isa dahil bawat department ay may representative sa bawat team. Naniniwala ako na mas mapapadali yung pagtatrabaho namain if we work in a harmonious relationship.”

It was then followed by a cheer dance competition and The Amazing Race which is a series of games such as Egg Hunt, Sisid, Puzzle, PVC, Fishing-Fishing & Salbabida Boat where each team needs to exercise teamwork, creative thinking, and camaraderie.
According to Dr. Nestor Atienza M.D., Lipa Medix aims to continue bringing affordable and quality health care in the region, be up to date and innovative with the latest medical technologies, be on the top of medical community in the region and be committed in giving team efforts for the employees to help them continue to improve their craft and build camaraderie in the institution which is essential in providing quality health care services.
