Newman Goldliner Bus Explosion: A Merciless Turn of Fate

Could it be a terrorist attack? Or simply an attempt to shake the present administration? Whatever or whoever is behind this remorseful act, no one has the power to turn back time and revive the four innocent lives wasted.

The Newman Goldliner bus which was tracing EDSA Buendia yesterday, exploded at around 2:00 pm, leaving 14 injured passengers and 4 casualties. An improvised bomb caused the passenger bus to explode – a move so sudden, so merciless.

No matter how careful you are with your actions, no matter how cautious you are to keep yourself away from danger, when fate turns its unfortunate hand on you, you’re doomed. The name of the bus driver? Maximo Peligro – translate it in English – Maximum Danger. Aw.

If the passengers knew they would be in danger upon riding the Newman Goldliner bus on that particular route, in that specific time, hell they could’ve chosen another bus. But nobody knew it would happen. Fate brought these victims together on that bus. Nobody forced them to get in that bus. Nobody thought there would be danger in there.

We pray for the souls of the four innocent people whose lives were taken by fate, or the pitiless act of humans.

We pray for the recovery of the injured victims who are fighting against physical pain, trauma, and wounded spirits.

We pray for the solution of this crime. There are still a lot of brutal killings left unsolved but in God’s time, we pray for justice.

  1. The very next time, I’m gonna ride a bus, I’m gonna ask for the driver’s and the conductor’s name O_O

    • I heard the name of the driver from Bianca Gonzalez who shared on SNN the scary coincidence. Maximo Peligro. Who would ever forget his name? Nakakaawa rin.

    • is not it foolish to ask for the name of the person you are dealing with. it is not their fault having that name. a name is just a name, and it will not affect on any matter. it is just on the foolish mind to make a name an issue….. BOPIS.. MAHILIG KASI MAG-AGAHAN NG BOPIS E… KAYA PATI PANGALAN PINAPAKIALAMAN….
