Maraming taong pinanganak na maraming talento. Marami rin namang ang akala ay wala silang talento, pero ang katotohanan, masyado lang silang humahanga sa kagalingan ng iba na maging ang sarili nilang kakayahan ay hindi nila mapansin.
Last Sunday, I had a meeting with a client for a wedding which Gerlie and I will be hosting. Oo. Ako ay hindi lang ‘writing person’, ‘speaking person’ din. Kung hindi mo pa alam ang GirlYana.com, panahon na para alamin mo ito.
My life is kind of segregated into different activities but can be categorized with just one term – passion. Aside from writing/blogging, I have passion for other things like events that is why I learned to embrace the ardent work of events coordinating. Fashion and the über-girly thing for make-up cannot be omitted on my list so I try, every now and then, to do some styling during our photo shoots. I take over the duty of a make-up artist at times though I know I still have to undergo training with professional MUAs. Like Georgia Reyes.
I admire the versatility of Bianca Gonzalez and the energy and spontaneity of Toni Gonzaga. These two ladies inspire me to pursue hosting and enhance whatever skills I have now.
You can never be too good at too many things. There are a lot “jack of all trades, master of none” on earth. But at least they know the things they can do – that’s way better than not knowing what one can do.
When you have passion for something, work on it. ‘Wag mong hayaan na amagin na lang ng panahon ang mga talento at kakayahang ibinigay sa ‘yo ng Lumikha. Hangga’t may panahon at kakayanan ka pang gawin ang mga bagay na gusto mo at kaya mong gawin, kumilos ka at ‘wag kang tetengga-tengga. Masyadong mainipin ang mundo para paghintayin mo kung kelan mo pa ipapakita at ibabahagi ang kakayanan mo.
Maraming talent search programs na ang nakonsepto at nabuo. Mga talent search na nag-produce ng mga bigating pangalan sa entertainment industry. But hey! Hindi lang naman mga artista at celebrities ang may karapatang mangarap at magpakita ng kakayanan.
What do you want to be? Who do you want to be? Where do you want to be? But don’t wait for me to ask you, ‘when do you want to be?’. Mali ang construction ng tanong na ito pero pwede mong isiping ang ibig kong sabihin ay ‘kelan mo gustong maging ikaw?’. Malabo pa rin. What I just want to convey is you have to know what you want to be and what you want to do. And I mean NOW.
Once you’ve come up with the answers to these questions, it’s time for you to move on to the next level – taking actions. There might be bumps along the way which might hurt you but consider these as your ‘bouncing platform’. When you bounce, you reach a higher level than where you actually are. And then bounce a little more. Reach further.
You don’t have to be a star. You don’t have to be an icon. You can, but nobody forces you to be. Palakasan lang ng loob ang labanan. If you know you can do something, do it. At mahalin mo kung ano ang meron ka at kaya mong gawin.
nice blog. And I agree. Masarap kahit mahirap sundin ang passion mo pero once you already have it… it’s very worth it. I’m also a struggling writer and finally a published one. Naghahanap sana ako ng online job or any job nang madaan ko itong blog mo. 🙂 keep it up and more power to Batangeños!
