Creativity in a Time of Crisis: FAITH Multimedia Students dedicated artworks for Frontliners

A week after the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities have instructed advisers and instructors to conduct classes using online platforms such as Google Classroom and Microsoft Team to help students cope up with lessons and spend the ECQ with productivity.

Dexter Balita, Multimedia Arts Instructor of Bachelor of Multimedia Arts, class of 13 students is already used to creating Private Facebook Groups for his students for offline or out-of-the-classroom concerns. He understands that not all students have direct access to the internet and Facebook is the fastest and the most accessible way of connecting to his students. He also advises his students to be active online for some reason (1. To be updated with the latest news. 2. Multimedia Students can get an unlimited source of inspiration from other artists. 3. He believes that knowledge and lectures are not only limited to four corners of the classroom.)

Part of the Multimedia Arts Course is “Typography and Layout” and Dexter gives his students weekly tasks like Tourism Logo, COVID-19 infographics, alternative movie posters, at awareness campaign ads. On the 5th week of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, he opted to give his students an Awareness Campaign Activity to end the discriminations to our Modern day heroes, our Frontliners.

Students expressed their gratitude using their creativity in creating posters. It’s their way of showing extreme respect to Frontliners who’s risking their lives for us. Check out their awesome artwork below:

– Dexter Balita | Multimedia Arts Instructor | FAITH Colleges
