The “Cattle Trading Capital of the Philippines”, the Municipality of Padre Garcia, Batangas, has yet again added another highlight to their progressive list of Agri-eco tourism attractions.
Located at Barangay Cawongan, the Pick & Go Farm features agriculture, floriculture, poultry and livestock produce straight from the local farmers and breeders themselves.
On the other hand, guests and customers are given an authentic farm experience where they get to handpick live livestock, poultry and the freshest of fruits, vegetables and flowers: more like an enhanced and expanded version of the experience in the famed Baguio strawberry picking. Moreover, locally-made products such as tocino, native longganisa, pork and beef tapa, Pickled Chili, Chili Garlic Oil and dried kamias are also in stock.
In an interview with wowbatangas.com, local farmer Mr. Rodel Vergara stated that the Pick & Go Farm serves as their bridge to a wider clientele. “Malaking tulong po itong farm sa aming pamilya.”
The Pick & Go farm is an initiative of the Local Government Unit and the Department of Tourism to further promote the already blossoming Agri-Eco Tourism of Padre Garcia.
