Gov. Vilma Santos Recto took her oath of office together with her husband, Senator Ralph Recto, June 28. Joining the couple-politicians were elected LP provincial candidates, Vice Governor Mark Leviste, Board Member Christopher de Leon, Cong. Tomas Apacible and Cong. Hermilando Mandanas.
In the re-elected Governor’s speech, Ate Vi gave an emphasis on the importance the re-aligning and concretizing developmental projects for Batangas province. Santos also announced that she would be stepping back from show business temporarily, and would not be making any movie soon.
Senator Ralph Recto on the other hand chose to take his oath with his wife. Santos, however, committed several mistakes while administering the oath to her husband, eliciting laughters from the crowd gathered at Batangas Capitol building. “Kabado ako talaga dahil hindi ko pa nagawa ang oath-taking sa mister ko,” the Governor expressed.
The oath-taking was then followed by a star-studded victory party. Spotted at the event were couple Charlene and Aga Mulach, Ai-Ai Delas Alas and more.
