Art Show Philippines founder and ALAB 7 Guest Speaker Mr. Frederick Epistola stressed on the importance of the Arts’ role in culture and tourism.
In his speech last April 25 at the Bauan Municipal Hall, Epistola mentioned that Batangas is home to “rockstar contemporary artists” noting that Ka Hermisanto, Yelcast, Magnaye Brothers, Ada Panopio, Bill Perez, and Dennis Segua are just some of the Batanguenos who go beyond representing Bauan and the province in the international art stage as, through their crafts, they render service to their communities as well.
Epistola also praised the Bauan LGU for its support in its local art scene and encouraged municipal leaders to invest more on its artists citing that Bauan’s potential as an Arts and Culture destination is brimming.
“Nasa Bauan na ang mga sangkap upang pasukin ang art tourism. Isang pamahalaan bukas ang kaisipan sa sining at mga alagad ng sining handang maglingkod ng talino at oras para makatulong sa kanyang bayan… kung nasan ang sining andun ang tunay na pag-ibig at kaluluwa ng isang bayan.”
The Ating Likha Alay sa Bauan (ALAB) is an art exhibition showcasing curated art pieces of visual artists from Bauan at the Bauan Municipal Hall Lobby. It is open for public viewing from April 25 – May 5, 2024.
