On May 13, the Local Government Unit of San Juan and the San Juan Arts and Culture Council partnered up to carryout the on-the-spot coffee painting contest at the San Juan Municipal Gymnasium.
This endeavor furthers the youth’s knowledge of the province’s and San Juan’s close history with the Kapeng Barako. Sylvia Marasigan said in an interview with wowbatangas.
Workshop facilitator and renowned San Juan Artist Master Carlos “Caloy” Alferez Castro stressed on the importance of the arts and creativity which promote the expression of individuality and uniqueness.
The coffee painting workshop and contest was attended by San Juan students and various individuals. The event is part of the month-long celebration of the feast of San Juan Nepomucene.
