What P-Noy’s SONA and Jovit’s TVC have in common?

Have you seen Jovit Baldivino’s tv commercial for this biscuit brand? I saw it yesterday afternoon and thought it was a plug for ASAP XV and then he pulled out the biscuit and then my brother clapped his hands to his delight.

Way to go, Jovit! So what does this tvc mean to us Filipinos? To you in particular? The message was clearly stated by the voice over. That success comes to those who persevere, to those who did not lose hope.

When Jovit started his journey in Pilipinas Got Talent, we all hoped for him to end up as the champion. During the semi-finals, we voted for him, so eager he got 80% of the votes. If we could do such things for other people, we should do the same for ourselves.

Today, July 26, President Noynoy Aquino will have his first ever state of the nation address (SONA). The nation will be all ears to hear what the contents of his speech will be. Just like Jovit, President Noynoy’s every performance will magnified by the public.

What do P-Noy and Jovit have in common? They were both grilled under too much pressure and expectations from their public. Both their right time came. Both give hope to other Filipinos – one in reaching out for a dream and the other one to uplift the status of a nation hungry for change. Both won their own battles. But they might be under scrutiny of the public for forever.

P-Noy’s SONA and Jovit’s tvc both bring new hope, new motivation. Whether people will be moved by these two men’s performances or not, there’s always something good in store for us.

We all just need to wait for the right time. It may sound like a message from a motivational self-help book but there’s a right timing for everything. If this is your time, embrace it! Who knows, the world needs a humble soul to make a huge positive change.

Carry on Pinoys!
