WOWBatangas.com was there to witness the start of an international project right here in Batangas. Spearheaded by the FAITH Colleges, the park will be located in the future 40-hectare campus of FAITH at the Batangas Greenvale, Balete, Batangas.
The launch, held at the beautiful Occassions Garden of Lima Park Hotel, was attended by Guest Ambassadors and Officials of the Embassies of the ASEAN Member Countries in the Philippines, with National Government Officials from the DFA and the Department of Tourism, as well as local officials from the Province.
Press Release:
The initial phase of the park will showcase the trees and plant species common to the 10 ASEAN countries. The park will also feature indigineous artworks or works of artists from the ASEAN Member Countries. Aside from the gardens, there are plans to build an ASEAN Hall that will serve as the venue for exhibits, symposia, and special events that will be organized in partnership with the embassies and other like-minded institutions.
Mr. Sonny Lozano, the President of the FAITH Botanic Gardens Foundation, said that FAITH will provide the seed fund to initiate the development of the said park. Hopefully, through joint efforts of the local government and FAITH, and with the help of the participating ASEAN nations, the park comes into fruition in the nearest future because it will be one of the best tourism spots near Taal Lake.
WOWBatangas.com Managing Editor Ms. Maureen Miller was there to interview the participants of the said event.
