A Busier Batanguenos’ Night Life

Bright city lights, busy streets, scrumptious “carte du jour”, all these and more can be found right at Lipa City Night Market!

Aside from the bars and cafes, Lipa City is getting busier at night with its bazaar. The said market is a response of the local government to the growing number of sidewalk vendors on the main roads of Lipa. These vendors and their stalls cause a traffic-related problem that is why they opt to have these traders at night on a less busy street of C. M. Recto. This project has given service to struggling business folks in the city. This is through the effort of the city mayor Oscar Gozos.

One thing is sure to grab your attention when you go to this night market, and that is the selection of mouth-watering foodstuff along the street. It’s like fiesta every day; I mean every night at C. M. Recto because of varied bits and pieces being sold and numbers market goers awakening and busying their probably lonesome night.

Just like an ordinary day market, you can find and buy everything that you need in here. Stalls and tiangge of various products like clothes, footwear, food, cosmetics, tools, accessories, toys, etc are teeming over the very busy street of C.M. Recto street in Lipa.

  1. Thanks for doing a feature on the Lipa City Night Market. However, I just want to clarify that the street formerly occupied by the sidewalk vendors is CM Recto Avenue. The Night Market is presently occupying P. Torres St, stretching to V. Malabanan and A. Mabini Sts. It is now being managed by The Lipa City Night Market Vendors Cooperative organized by the Lipa City Cooperative Office. The Night Market had been operating since September 2007.
