Lipa has opened up to a new trend of burgers. With Lipa’s cook lovers conquering food delicacy and in showing what food brings them, here’s a store that features the city’s recent additions of burger circuit.
Owned by Kathleen Joy Manto, Collosso, serves giant size burgers. Collosso reopened last October 30, 2014 at Paninsingin, Lipa City. Collosso is an Italian word for colossal which means gigantic. It was supposedly to be “Colosso” but the Feng Shui expert told Mrs. Kat to make it 8 letters.
“Our patties are made of 100% beef. We don’t use MSG or any harmful seasoning in our burgers and pasta sauces, for I believe in the traditional way of cooking,” Says Mrs. Kat Manto.
Collosso is an American and Italian style with which Mrs. Manto was inspired by. From looking at their menu, everything looked big and it even sound big like their specialty, Collosso’s Ultimate Burger. Collosso really maintained its original state by making the food big that will be enjoyed not just with friends but with families as well.
Collosso was created by Mrs. Kat Manto’s own recipe as well as her own design of the restaurant. While interviewing her, she said it took her 2 months to perfect her patties and when she did, she opened her own restaurant. “The interior design of the place is a barn type. I designed it that way, a bit informal yet comfortable,” added Mrs. Manto.
Mrs. Manto has always been original from the first time she cooked her own patty, she was inspired by how people supported her and encouraged her. She likes to keep her vegetables fresh and 100% pure beef.
With 6 part time students working for her, she gets more customers than she ever expected to have. People coming from different cities just to taste Collosso’s burgers, Mrs. Manto has been speechless. Thanking God for the success for everything He has done for her, she couldn’t thank Him enough.
Ordering different sizes (XS, S, M and L) to eat, the burgers will blow your mind but definitely go back home with a happy stomach.
You’ll get to taste their promising pastas; Hercules (Carbonara), Thor, (Bacon, Tomato sauce) and Poseidon (Tuna, Agolio Olio). And of course, serving their ultimate burgers by choosing which size, you’ll not only taste the juiciness of the burger but the sensation of what you’ve been craving for.
