People who do not know of the power of Boy Pick Up (of Bubble Gang) must be living under a rock.
Indeed, nonsensical concepts + out of this world humor + immense popularity can be equated to national fandom.
Boy Pick Up, another character of Ogie Alcasid, has been known for his parody of cheesy tagalog pick up lines.
The aforementioned character borders on the thin line of being a thug and retardation. A bit on the retarded side, perhaps.

This stint of Ogie Alcasid and Co. must have sprung out from the equally cheesy pick up lines from the hit movie of John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga, My Amnesia Girl which later on evolved into an internet craze.

Really, these quotes have the power of entertaining people in one way or the other (myself included).
This kind of shallow, slapstick humor has the ability to make hapless people like me get through the rainiest of days.
